The First Week.
Leeds trinity university is a campus-style university based in Horsforth- Leeds, just six miles form Leeds city centre.
Attending Leeds trinity offers a different experience to most others in the UK. This is due to the campus-style accommodation, meaning that if you need uni accommodation in your first year at Leeds trinity, you will likely be living on-sight at the uni itself. This does make attending in-person lectures much easier as it cuts-out the need for a lengthy commute, however it does mean that, during your first year, you’ll most likely be 6 miles from city centre. This could result in a negative impact on your social life as it did mine, the key is to find other ways to socialise, for example, playing games outside with your flat-mates.
This long distance between the uni and the city does mean that you can enjoy the benefits of the countryside, taking scenic walks in the meadows, playing sports on the large sports pitches and enjoying the range of wildlife are all part of this universities allure. And I found that these walks really helped me with coping through the stress of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The university has a tightly-packed layout, this is good for getting to where-you-need-to-be quickly, As well as having quick access to the uni’s on-sight gym ‘Trinity Fitness’ complete with weights rooms, instructed classes and indoor sports facilities. The gym is a great way to relax and take your mind off of the big world we live in, I personally like to visit in the evenings as it puts a hard line under my uni work for the day.
